Overview

This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit noi-loi.ch, for what purpose and how long we keep it. In doing so, we comply with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and - where applicable - with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Contact form

When you write to us via the contact form, we process the following information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • chosen subject and your message

Purpose: solely to handle and respond to your enquiry.

Legal basis: legitimate interest or pre-contractual measures (Art. 31 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).

Disclosure: Your information is not passed on to third parties. The enquiry is sent by email to the association and stored in a file on our own hosting - not with external services.

Retention: for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and any follow-up questions. Stored enquiries are also automatically and permanently deleted after a defined period (two years by default).

2. Audience measurement (Matomo)

Where enabled, we use Matomo, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that runs on our own server and only in the production environment. The following applies:

  • No cookies are set.
  • The browser setting «Do Not Track» is respected.
  • IP addresses are processed in shortened/anonymised form.

The data collected (page visited, date/time, browser type) does not leave our server and is not combined with other data.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 31 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Donations (RaiseNow / TWINT)

On the home page you can support the association with a donation. For this we embed the official donation button of our payment service provider RaiseNow (RaiseNow AG, Zurich). Only when you click the button and switch to the RaiseNow payment page are the details required for the payment (e.g. amount, payment method such as TWINT or card, and any details you voluntarily provide there) processed by RaiseNow and the payment services involved. RaiseNow's privacy policy additionally applies to this.

To display the donation button, your browser loads the TWINT logo and fonts from RaiseNow's server (assets.raisenow.io). This technically transmits your IP address to this service; no cookies are set for this. If you want to avoid this, you can instead use the bank details (IBAN) provided for a classic transfer.

Purpose: processing voluntary donations. Legal basis: legitimate interest or contract initiation (Art. 31 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).

4. Photos of association events

At our events, photos are occasionally taken which we use for documentation and for the public relations of the Nöi Löi association - for example on this website, in association brochures or on social media. We take care not to publish any images that portray the people shown in an unflattering way.

Purpose: documenting the life of the association and public relations. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 31 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Objection: If you do not want photos of you to be published, please let us know at info@noi-loi.ch. We will remove the relevant images promptly on request.

5. Fonts

The website's fonts are self-hosted and delivered from our own server. There is no connection to external font services such as Google Fonts (exception: the optional donation button, see section 3).

6. Server logs & security

When the website is accessed, our hosting provider automatically stores technical access data (IP address, date/time, requested URL, browser type). This data serves solely for secure operation and error analysis and is kept only for a short time.

To prevent misuse, the application logs security-relevant events (e.g. failed logins in the editorial area, administrative actions). This log contains the IP address, is kept only as long as necessary and is automatically deleted after a defined period (one year by default). No IP address is stored for enquiries received via the contact form. Temporary blocks are removed automatically once they expire.

Backups: To protect against data loss, we regularly create backups, on our server and encrypted on storage operated by the association. Deleted information may remain in them for up to about three months before the backups are automatically overwritten.

Cookies: No cookies are set for visitors to the public website (audience measurement also works without cookies). Only in the admin area and in the separate, read-only reports area (sign-in via password or via an emailed link) are technically necessary functional cookies used for signing in; they serve solely for logging in and not for tracking. Anyone who opens a personal preview link for a new website appearance (for example board members or the designer) receives a technically necessary cookie for the link’s validity of at most seven days; it only controls this preview and is deleted with “End preview”.

7. Polls

For polls (e.g. "Who can help and when?") you can sign up via a link without an account. We then process the following details:

  • Name
  • Email address (only if the particular poll asks for one)
  • Phone number (only if the particular poll asks for one)
  • your selected dates and any comment you add

Purpose: organising the association's dates and volunteer shifts.

Legal basis: legitimate interest resp. consent given by participating (Art. 31 revFADP; Art. 6(1)(a)/(f) GDPR).

Visibility: depending on the poll's settings, everyone who knows the link can see your name and your choices - the link may also appear on the page of the related event. The poll link is not guessable but not additionally password-protected - only share it with people who should take part. The association also shows selected polls on the screen in the bistro (also available at /slideshow) - only the title, deadline and free places appear there, never names.

Retention: responses are automatically and permanently deleted once the poll has closed (one year after the deadline by default). While the poll is open, you can change your entry via your personal link; you can remove it there at any time, even after the poll has closed. So that you can find your entry again later, your browser stores your personal editing link in its local storage (no cookie, not sent to us); you can delete it at any time in your browser settings. Poll pages are not recorded by the audience measurement (section 2).

8. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection. Please write to us at info@noi-loi.ch.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch.

9. Changes

This privacy policy may be adapted as needed. The current version on this page always applies.
